Business Attorney
Overview:
Our data-driven law firm is seeking an attorney with 3+ years of experience representing clients in transactional corporate and business law matters to join our team in Cornelius, NC. Experience in the following areas is required:
• Drafting, reviewing, and revising business organizational documents, including operating agreements, shareholder agreements, bylaws, stock plans, consents, resolutions, and corporate minutes
• Drafting, reviewing, and revising a wide range of commercial contracts
• Conducting and managing business deals, including asset purchase transactions, stock purchase transactions, commercial loan closings, private equity investments, etc
Preference will be given to applicants with experience in the following industries:
• Healthcare, including a working knowledge of HIPAA and related state and federal healthcare laws and documents, and experience representing physicians, healthcare startups, dietary supplement companies, medical/surgical device companies, medical management companies, and life science technology companies
• Software and Technology, including representation of software companies and familiarity with software agreements, mobile app developers, SaaS providers, and technology consultants
• Data privacy, including GDPR and CCPA
• Hospitality, including representation of restaurants, coffee shops, franchisees, and franchisors
Qualifications:
• 3+ years business/corporate law experience, with excellent working knowledge of corporate and LLC law statutes, case law, and documents
• Licensed to practice law
• Outstanding references
• Strong legal reasoning, writing, oral communication, and research skills
• Business sense and ability to think strategically
• Positive attitude

Compensation:
