Project/Content Specialist

Compass Group’s in-house creative support agency, Compass Creative Studio (CCS), is looking for a Project/Content Specialist to join our team. This role will play an integral part in the Creative Team that supports the sales efforts for the Senior Living sectors of Compass Group. This individual will direct large-scale and must-win sales opportunities, creating/writing custom content and helping to drive the proposal process from RFP receipt to deliverable date to client.

Project management
• Manage proposal development process from strategy to each deliverable date, working with the Sales Director and Subject Matter Experts to define and track needs and deliverables, and stay up to date on deadlines
• Management and upkeep of deliverables and deadlines for each job, utilizing project management software
• Work in conjunction with fellow Creative Team members to develop best practices and manage and maintain an asset library
• Work in tandem with Creative Team designers on the overall design, layout, and print concepts in conjunction with Sales Director
• Handle multiple, complex projects simultaneously while setting and holding others responsible for deadlines
Content development and management
• Create compelling and vertical-specific copy for proposal template
• Collaborate with internal and external subject-matter experts to ensure content reflects the brand standards, programming and offering
• Create a vertical-specific content library and manage the workflow for creating, editing, and updating content to meet the needs of the sales team
Proposal development
• Collaborate with the sales team to develop proposal outline and understand custom content needs
• Strategize, develop, and curate creative content focusing on presenting information in the most compelling way possible to meet clients’ expectations
• Manage proposal content production and perform multiple rounds of reviews and edits leading to final proposal review
Collateral development
• Develop sales collateral to support the sales team’s prospecting efforts
• Review existing materials and update content as needed
• Collaborate with the Compass Creative Studio to craft the best design corresponding to content
Other sales projects
• Develop content for strategic prospecting efforts and campaigns.
• Provide writing support for sales special projects (prospects communication, executive summary, cover letters, presentation outline, etc.).
• Other projects and responsibilities as defined by management and the needs of the sales team

Preferred qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• 3+ years as a writer or editor (proposal environment experience is a plus) with an eye for design
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to be a conversational and engaging writer, but also cover technical details
• Experience developing content across a spectrum of mediums (digital, proposal, brochure, cover letters), following style guide and established brand standards
• An excellent researcher with the ability to distill key information and then craft it into an enjoyable content experience
• Ability to take initiative and like a creative challenge
• Ability to meet short and long deadlines, and switch gears quickly when needed
• Highly organized and detail-oriented—able to multitask and prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
• Strong organizational and time management skills with proven project management experience and the ability to work across multiple verticals
• Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop knowledge are preferred but not required
• Ability to travel approximately 5%
