Marketing & Events Specialist

Job summary:
The Marketing Specialist will work with a multifunctional team of creative, marketing, sales team, and developers, to execute events, marketing programs, design requests, promotions, and other activities to support Vallen initiatives. The marketing and events specialist will manage all event logistics, be involved with all meeting details, and will participate in strategy sessions. The ideal candidate will not only have a strong background in events, but also enjoy being engaged in various marketing initiatives.


• Assist with the coordination of Vallen events/tradeshows with stakeholders (Suppliers, Vallen Associates, and Event Organizers) and ensure successful execution of all aspects of the events. – Examples – Industry tradeshows, corporate events, vertical summits, sales conference.
• Responsible for planning and executing regional events, as needed by Market leaders
• Schedule and run weekly status update meetings to review event briefs, work back schedules, and event status with Stakeholders
• Work with stakeholders to develop event strategy, define success and plan to achieve goals
• Track and manage event expenditures and create reporting for management
General marketing
• Interface directly with Vallen Suppliers to coordinate asset trafficking and execute marketing activities such as email campaigns, landing pages, digital advertising, and other partnership activity
• Coordinate approval, ordering, and production of Vallen merchandise, interface with vendor as needed
• All other miscellaneous marketing support
• Organize, update, and maintain marketing collateral including, one-sheets, sales presentations, marketing recaps, programming calendars, etc
• Support the marketing team in daily administrative tasks such as, but not limited to, asset management/archiving, premium order fulfillment/inventory maintenance, general spreadsheet upkeep, etc
Sales support
• Assist team in development and management of customer data in CRM tool
• Be a reliable Sales support resource to manage the development and distribution of marketing collateral
• Assist with the creation and execution of field sales marketing requests

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least 2-3 years of applicable experience
• Prior experience planning and executing tradeshows and events at/or under budget is a plus
• Sufficient skills in design programs, including proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Acrobat)
• Proficiency with MS-Office suite of applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with suppliers and other members of marketing and sales teams; work cross-functionally with all other departments as needed
