Long Creek Adventure Race at the Whitewater Center: Test your navigational, riding, running, and paddling skills in a 4- or 8-hour adventure race. Markets at 11 Friendsgiving Festival in Ballantyne’s Backyard: Find gifts for friends and family while you enjoy live music and food trucks. 11am to 5pm. Free. Details.

Protagon1st 1-Year Anniversary in Lower South End: Protagonist LoSo is turning one and wants you to join the celebration. Starting at noon, a new beer will be released every hour on the hour until 6pm. 11am to 11pm. Free. Details.

Santa Paws at Armored Cow Brewing Co.: Bring your pet to get a picture with Santa. For $10, you’ll get three pictures, purr-fect for a holiday card. Proceeds from the event will support local rescue “You and me Furever.” 1pm. $10. Details.

ArtPop Upcycled Fashion Show by ArtPop Street Gallery at Innovation Barn: This fashion show and fundraiser will feature pieces of clothing created using upcycled ArtPop billboards. 5pm. $75. Details.

Kokedama Workshop at PlantHouse: Learn the process of putting together your own kokedama, which is basically a plant in a moss ball. These plants are typically displayed by hanging them, so the PlantHouse team will help you secure your kokedama with twine so you can display it in your home or office. 6:30pm. $25. Details.

Stargazer Music Festival at Green Life Family Farms: Bring a blanket or a chair to lie out on the grass and take in unparalleled views of the night sky during this skywatch and concert experience. There will be food, drinks live music and a night market with local vendors. 7pm to midnight. $20. Details.
