Job summary:
The Organization Development Manager will contribute to the Company’s vision and mission by collaborating with area leaders across the organization to develop learning and organizational development solutions that meet the needs of Discovery Place, Inc. They will lead the team in the assessment, implementation, and evaluation of organizational development strategies.

Responsibilities:
• Build ongoing strategies that will promote an inclusive, engaging, and continuous learning work environment
• Work with leadership throughout the organization to identify skill gaps in the organization by conducting needs assessments for training and staff development opportunities to ensure employees have the needed knowledge, skills, and abilities to achieve personal and organizational goals
• Oversee the management of training opportunities provided to employees through Discovery Place University and other internal and external sources
• Plan, design, and facilitate learning program as appropriate to meet the needs of the organization
• Train employees on Human Resources issues and practices
• Evaluate training impacts and effects on organizational efficiency through data analysis
• Identify and incorporate best practices designed to ensure the organization is a desirable place to work
• Oversee the employee engagement process through surveys and other employee feedback mechanisms
• Provide one-on-one coaching to managers and emerging leaders to support management effectiveness and leadership development
• Aligns leadership development programs and the performance management process to the overall business strategies of Discovery Place Inc
• Partner with the Chief Learning Officer/Education to deliver Diversity Equity and Inclusion initiatives through the organization
• Review HR policies and procedures to ensure they are relevant, equitable and inclusive
• Produce career paths for employees designed to enhance retention and facilitate growth within the organization
• Work with the Human Resources Generalist to design programs that will follow-up with new hires through their first year with the organization to ensure a smooth integration into the organization’s culture
• Influence and provide innovative approaches to affect major organization initiatives

Required skills and abilities:
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• An understanding of adult learning concepts
• Strong presentation skills and the ability to interact with employees at all levels
• Adept with a variety of training platforms and methods
• Ability to evaluate and research training options and alternatives
• Proven experience at facilitating organizational changes
• Must have demonstrated experience in leadership development, performance management, coaching and career development
• Ability to analyze and manage data to identify organization needs, industry trends that could impact the organization, and the impact of training

Education requirements:
• Bachelors degree in Organization Development, Human Resources, or related field and 5+ years of Organization Development, Human Resources, or related experience. Or, 8 years of Organization Development, Human Resources, or related experience
• Experience designing effective training and development programs
• Professional Human Resources or Senior Professional Certification required

Physical requirements:
• Prolong periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
• Must be able to lift to 50 pounds
