Overview:
Brandsymbol is looking for high-energy candidates with experience in medical device sales to join our business development team. Success in this position is defined based on one’s effectiveness in 1) identifying qualified prospects, 2) creating and deploying targeted outreach, and 3) setting up meetings with prospects to discuss new business opportunities. Business Development Specialists are responsible for identifying and managing new business opportunities within our key markets. Candidates must demonstrate a thorough understanding of sales and account penetration. As a member of the Brandsymbol team, you will be joining a highly intelligent, motivated, and passionate team focused on growing our business and providing truly exceptional work to our clients across all industries.

Responsibilities:
• Conduct medical device industry research to identify qualified prospects for selling opportunities. Examples of research resources include web searches, LinkedIn, Twitter, industry-specific publications, catalogs, databases, medical device development announcements, and convention lists
• Identify relevant contacts and actively seek out new sales opportunities through emails, phone calls, networking, social media, and referrals
• Craft and deliver targeted outreach (emails, phone calls, and messaging) that piques interest and elicits a response
• Maintain a thorough understanding of Brandsymbol products and services, with the ability to communicate differentiators, assess and overcome objections
• Organize a thorough account penetration methodology
• Schedule and manage introductory meetings and pitches
• Maintain company CRM with qualified leads
• Prepare and deliver appropriate sales materials on products and services
• Collaborate with sales team members to achieve better results

Skills and requirements:
• Proven experience in sales and the medical device industry
• Thorough understanding of sales nurturing, qualifying techniques, and account penetration strategies
• Aptitude for persistence and follow-up
• Bachelor’s Degree
• Lives in Charlotte, NC area
