Metro Realty, LLC is an affiliate of Coldwell Banker Commercial and does business by that name or CBC MECA. It has offices in Charlotte, NC, Belmont, NC and Rock Hill, SC. While most active in the southeastern US, it handles assignments from coast to coast. CBC MECA has proven over the years to be a market leader in commercial real estate.

Job summary:
CBC MECA’s administrative team is made up of support staff, accounting, and property managers. The Accounting Position is responsible for oversight of the day-to-day financial operations of the company. These generally include but are not limited to, all functions within Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, GL Journal Entries and Adjustments, Month and Year-End Close. Other responsibilities for these entities include Budgeting, Forecasting, Bank Accounts and Cash Management. Specific tasks and assignments are noted below.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Business with an emphasis in accounting
• Minimum four (4) years related experience
• Experience with accounting software
• Property management software experience desired, Rent Manager* preferred
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook)

Tasks and assignments:
All aspects of accounting for the following entities

• Metro Realty LLC
• Metro Realty Gaston LLC
Franchise reporting
• Reconcile and process payments and royalty fees to CBC Corporate
• CBC Corporate Account Manager
• Royalty Fee Audit
• Scan deposits for all accounts where available (i.e., Bank of OZK, etc.)
• Make physical deposits when needed
• Monitor ACH Payments
Commercial property management – Rent manager* tasks
• Setup New Owners, New Properties, and Customers per abstracts
• Setup and manage Bank Accounts including reconciliations
• Facilitate Monthly & Quarterly Reoccurring Customer Charges
• Post Misc. Customer Charges including CAM & TI Reconciliations
• Post Late Charges
• Post Payments to Customer Accounts
• Create Deposits from Customer Payments and Misc. Receipts
• Keying invoices for property accounts
• Process Management Fees
• Manage and Process Reoccurring Bills
• Process payable checks from proper bank accounts
• Manage Owner e-pay
• Process Owner Distributions
• Run Month End Close including monthly owner statements
• Input Approved Property Budget’s in Rent Manager
• Process security deposit dispositions
• Assist with Payables and Vendor Management
• Process 1099’s (mail to vendor, electronic file to IRS)
Corporate accounts – Rent manager* tasks
• Setup and manage Bank Accounts including reconciliations
• Create Deposits from bank funding
• Post Bills in Rent Manager from the weekly draw
• Manage and Process Recurring Bills
• Process checks
• Vendor Management
• Process 1099’s (mail to the vendor, electronic file to IRS)
• Assist Property Manager in annual property budgets
• Prepare CBC MECA company budgets annually for owner approval
• Assist Property Managers with reconciliation and budget comparisons

*Rent Manager is CBC MECA’s Property Management and Accounting Software which new employees will be trained to become proficient.
