Operations Coordinator

Overview:
We are looking for an analytical, skilled individual to join our team as an Operations Coordinator. The responsibilities of the Operations Coordinator include managing inventory items, controlling day-to-day inventory operations, and implementing inventory control protocols.

To be successful as an Operations Coordinator, the ideal candidate must be analytical with strong attention to detail, has an acute commercial awareness and should be able to interpret and implement data on consumer trends and spending.

Responsibilities:
• Create and place purchase orders for fabric based on order requirements and specified lead times
• Resolve fabric delay issues and report those issues that can’t be resolved
• Receive fabric demand requirements from the planning team. Fill demand needs where possible
• Create purchase orders with multiple contract fabric vendors based on lead times capacities of each
• Work with fabric vendors and logistics to arrange the movement of fabrics shipping internationally
• Review overall supply/demand to ensure fabric is on order to cover all demand
• Review excess or obsolete fabric monthly. Identify lots that have no potential use and create a list to be considered for sell
• Work with the Planning team when orders require expediting. Monitor and advise what can be done and the impact the requested expedite will have to other orders
• Work with internal team when fabric quality issues arise. Return fabric to vendors when necessary and coordinate the resolution which may be reprocessing or replacing

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business administration, marketing, or a related field
• 3-5 years of inventory management experience
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Experience with databases and spreadsheets
• Good computer skills
• Strong analytical, time management, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail, and multi-tasking skills
• Advanced Excel
• Strong written and verbal communication
