Cheese Artist

Overview:
Do you ever feel like there’s a wild tiger of creativity inside you just waiting to get out? There’s only one cure for that: becoming a cheese artist at Babe & Butcher. That’s right. Two of the best things in the world-cheese and art. Plus you and your amazing creative self.

Your days will mostly include weaving meat, cheese, fruit and nuts into artwork people can eat. Those magical hands of yours will actually create edible art. You’ll get to see people be excited every day by your cheese masterpieces.

What’s in it for you:
• All the cheese you can eat
• Competitive pay
• Hearing our head of production drop puns into every conversation possible
• Work at our storefront at Camp Northend, which has a weekly farmer’s market, lots of retail and restaurants, live music, events and more throughout the year

This is what you should know about the work & our restaurant:
• Get your materials together in order to create beautiful cheese boards and boxes. This includes following prep lists and executing food prep tasks
• Set up and break down your canvas-aka the food service line
• Laugh and joke with customers while you create your beautiful boxes and boards
• Learn how to mix materials (aka recipes) to create all kinds of goodies
• We’re busy, so the day goes quick
• The Butcher tells bad dad jokes, but you don’t have to laugh at them

Cheese Artists applying must:
• Have a desire to create and be part of a creative team
• The Babe doesn’t like to micromanage, so it’s important you’re willing to be proactive and autonomous
• Be excited about the events and catering industry. We’re a restaurant so this is kind of important
• Like people (we deal with lots of people), so if people aren’t your jam, this isn’t the place for you
• Have 2+ experience with catering, food service, or customer service (preferred)
• Have the ability to lift 50 pounds unassisted (cheese wheels can be heavy)
