IT Support Engineer

Serve as operational, technical support for software, hardware, and network for all physical sites; write code, create performance reports, and use RPA for process improvements; serve as technical lead for ERP and customer-facing ForeSight App, and other innovative projects as assigned.

• Process Improvement; Automate and streamline manual processes for the creation of reports, execution of recurring batch jobs and manual business processes utilizing tools such as RPA
• Customer Facing App Support; Provide operational support for our industry-leading ForeSight App
• Hardware and Software Management; Provide on-site desktop, network and telecom support for staff in the Charlotte headquarters location
• Solution Facilitator; Liaison with external technical support partners to ensure proper resolution of technical issues across the organization
• Operational Excellence; Ensures batch and automated jobs run correctly and efficiently across all platforms
• Subject Matter Expert; Take the lead on all technical support aspects of Forshaw’s ERP system
• Accountability; Create BI reports regarding IT-specific operations and application performance and stability
• Technical Leadership; Serve as primary technical lead for the start-up of new warehouse locations
• Innovation Team Member; Be an integral part of small IT team creating innovative tools and technology for a fast-growing distribution company

• Systems management of Microsoft Windows Server
• Use of scripting tools such as PowerShell
• Windows 10 desktop support
• Application administration including user rights and resource assignment
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• 2+ years’ experience in general IT support
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
• Microsoft PowerBI knowledge
• Programming experience with modern development tools (e.g., Python, Javascript, etc.)
• Experience with Microsoft Power Automate
• System administration experience with Microsoft Navision (NAV) ERP system
