Communications Associate

Overview:
An established Association Management Company in Charlotte, NC needs a Communications Associate to provide electronic publishing services for its Communications Department. Mid-Town Charlotte Location with free parking.

Experience:
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite software
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
• Wufoo/SurveyMonkey/Constant Contact/Magnet Mail experience helpful
• Windows environments knowledge

• Established understanding of WordPress website management

Duties:
• Social Medial and Website
• Maintain postings to client social media outlets such as Twitter, FaceBook, Instagram and LinkedIn
• Post client appropriate information to blogs with proper formatting and editing as may be necessary
• Maintain client online calendars, acting as an administrator with other organizations’ postings
• Communications Department Organization
• Collection/organization of project documents/information, including project management software
• Proof reading and editing communications projects
• Organization of the communications department tasks and materials
• Work with the Communications Director on effectively managing the workflow of the department to ensure timely delivery of projects, including shifting of projects between staff to effectively complete projects and meet deadlines
• Support to the Communications Director, as may be necessary
• Electronic Communications Media
• Electronic document production (meeting notices, newsletters, news flashes) – mainly designed in Dreamweaver and utilizing established templates for email broadcasts
• Basic graphic design/layup for electronic media
• PowerPoint presentation production
• Initiate Email Campaigns using Constant Contact/Magnet Mail, creating from scratch and adding text content, photos, logos as needed
• Create Registration Forms for conferences and events
• Create job postings for clients
• Working with key staff to determine the target audience for communications and requesting and loading the appropriate lists for distribution
• Strong customer relations skills on the phone and face-to-face
• Onsite registration help/photography and posting to social media for client events
• Support the Office Manager, as may be necessary
• Other duties as may be assigned from time to time
