Accounting Assistant

Looking for an energetic person to work for a family office to assist in multiple tasks. Individual needs to be highly organized, super responsive, self-motivated, flexible and able to handle situations in the highest professional manner. Should also have a positive attitude, eager and willing to learn (comfortable self-training if necessary) new methods, procedures, programs, etc – anything that makes our office run better.

We are a family office with various companies that cross many fields, Real Estate, Investing, Construction and Winery. You would be involved with all of these so multi-tasking is vital, as is, communication, both verbally and orally.

The successful applicant should have experience with the following:
• QuickBooks specifically for A/P and A/R – a QuickBooks Certification would be ideal
• Multi entity accounting and reporting.
• Entering Payroll – Experience with ADP
• Researching and resolving discrepancies on the Balance Sheet and P&L
• Strong proficiency in Excel – a Microsoft Office Specialist/Expert Certification would be ideal

• Sales & Use Tax filing
• Accruals
• Experience in HR – maintaining employee files
• Inventory knowledge
• Experience with POS Systems

• Experience in hotels
• Experience in the restaurant business
• Have a passion for wine
• The position may require travel to our other location
• Fast-paced, high volume business operations
