Senior Marketing Specialist (Virtual)

Job summary:
Vallen’s Senior Marketing Specialist is an integral part of the Vallen marketing organization. The Senior Marketing Specialist will be working in a multifunctional team including sales, sales enablement, product marketing, events, brand marketing and digital. The candidate will lead creative direction for sales collateral, promotion materials, emails, web pages and support the design needs of the Vallen sales team. The ideal candidate will not only have strong knowledge of graphic design programs but will also enjoy being engaged in all a range of marketing initiatives.

Responsibilities:
General marketing

• Develop compelling sales collateral to reinforce Vallen’s leadership position as a solution provider
• Work directly with key sales leaders to support Strategic asset development (i.e. sell-sheets, newsletters)
• Coordinate advertising campaigns and themes for digital, print and tradeshows. Works with subject matter experts to develop content for marketing assets such as but not limited to white papers, sales collateral, and related materials
• Coordinate joint marketing with supplier’s activities such as email campaigns, digital advertising, and other partnership activity
• Provide insights and creative direction for Vallen brand on all platforms (web, print, events, etc.)
• Coordinate approval, ordering, and production of company merchandise; interface with vendors as needed
• Research relevant industrial trends and gathers competitive market, competitor, and customer information and gather it into the report
• All other miscellaneous marketing support
Graphic design
• Conceptualize and create engaging visual designs for a variety of marketing assets and sales initiatives such as event and sales collateral, logos, web content pages, emails, miscellaneous training documents and more
• Assists Sales and Sales Enablement Team with customized marketing design requests (one-pagers, emails, brochures, print ads, etc.)
• Provide the communications team with design support
Events
• Lead event strategy and coordination and success measurement of Corporate Events & Tradeshows
• Work with stakeholders (suppliers, sales, marketing, and leadership) for successful execution
• Schedule and run weekly status update meetings to review event briefs, work back schedules, and event status with Stakeholders
• Track and manage 6-7 figure event budget and create reporting for management

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and a minimum of 5 years of applicable experience. Applicable experience should include:
• Must Have Strong skills in design programs, including proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Acrobat)
• Prior experience planning and executing tradeshows and events at/or under budget is a plus
• Proficiency with MS-Office suite of applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with suppliers and other members of marketing and sales teams; work cross-functionally with all other departments as needed
