Job summary:
The IT Business Analyst I will work closely with the Technology and Business teams to define and document requirements. This individual will have the knowledge to be able to be adaptable to change in requests and have the ability to take action when needed. This individual will utilize keen judgment, questioning techniques, Mortgage Industry knowledge, and customer relationships to drive accurate business requirements for the Application Development Team and Vendors. The candidate should have a strong understanding of using communication, problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate with team members and stakeholders.

• Analyze project information to create and document business requirements through traditional Business Requirements Document (BRD) and user stories
• Identify and document project-related issues, assumptions, constraints. dependencies, risks, and decisions
• Conduct and document gap analysis when dealing with technology solutions
• Create roadmaps and process flow documentation
• Conduct requirement review sessions with project teams
• Plan, organize and document small enhancements for the development team and business units
• When required, participate or lead RFP type activities to identify vendor products and capabilities to meet a specific business need
• Work closely with project managers and project team members, maintaining a high standard of professionalism and accountability

What we need:
• 1-3 years of Business Analyst experience
• 1+ year of Mortgage or Financial Industry experience a plus
• Works well in a collaborative environment that is high energy and drives towards goals
• Communicates effectively orally and in writing. Should be able to create good documentation and correspond on functionalities & issues concisely. Should be able to articulate well during discussions
• Ability to be adaptable manage ambiguity from the business units
• Aptitude to continually learn new areas of the business, technology, and the PMO
• Experience with MS Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Word)
• Experience with JIRA a plus or other PM software
• Experience with Ellie Mae Encompass a huge plus
