FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 10

Yiasou Greek Festival Drive-Thru at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral 600 East Blvd.: This year’s Greek Festival is happening drive-thru style. Although the entertainment portion has been canceled for this year, you can still expect all your favorite Greek food and pastries. Friday and Saturday, 11am to 10pm, Sunday noon to 6pm. Free. Charlotte AutoFair at 5555 Concord Pkwy. S: Head to Charlotte Motor Speedway to check out an extensive selection of cars ranging from colorful classics to customs and hot rods at the world’s largest automotive event. September 9-11. Free for kids; $10-$35 for adults. Details.

Optimist Hall Concert in the Courtyard at 1115 North Brevard St.: Grab food from your favorite OH food stand, then head out to the courtyard to enjoy music from DJ Vinchy. 5-8pm. Free. Details.

Edwin’s Organix Pop-Up Dinner at Pilot Brewing 1331 Central Ave., Ste. 104: On the menu for this pop-up dinner is quesa birria, pastor, steak (carne asada) and chicken tacos. 6pm. Prices vary. Details.

Mediterranean Cooking with Chef Alyssa’s Kitchen 4001-C Yancey Rd., Ste. 100: Transport your taste buds straight to the Mediterranean with dishes like grilled paprika-glazed eggplant with pine nuts and herbs, braised chicken with spiced tomato sauce, olives and feta cheese pavlova with raspberry jam and pistachio whipped cream. 6:30-9pm. $75. South End Shuffle 5K & Mile Run at Wooden Robot Brewery at 1440 South Tryon St., Ste. 110: Lace up your running shoes for a scenic run around South End. Route options include a 5k (3.1 miles) run and a mile run. 8:30am. $20-$40. Details.

Bootcamp & BBQ at Sweet Lew’s Barbeque: Join Camp Gladiator for a free bodyweight workout, then stay after class for $1 beers $5 barbecue sandwiches. Bring a mat and some water. 10-11am. Free. Details.

Oktoberfest at The Suffolk Punch 2911 Griffith St., Ste. A: The Suffolk Punch is having its own Oktoberfest with live music, food specials and of course Oktoberfest Märzen lager on tap. 10am. Free. Details.

NoDa Fall Fest with Great Wagon Road Distilling Co. at 610 Anderson St.: Join GWR Distilling for a neighborhood block party featuring 50 vendors, live music performances from Ali Rose and DJ Kommotion plus a lineup of food trucks. Noon to 11pm. Free. Details.

Celebration of First Responders at Truist Field 324 South Mint St.: This baseball game, played by the CMPD “Blue hornets” and the CFD “Blaze,” will honor Charlotte’s first responders and the fallen of 9/11. Following the game will be a fireworks show. 6pm. $10. Details.

One Night with Nikki Glaser at Knight Theater 430 South Tryon St.: She’s one of the funniest female voices in standup and her wit, candor and comedy are sure to leave you in stitches. Catch Nikki Glaser at the Knight Theater for a one-night-only show. 7pm & 9pm. $24.50. Details.

Charlotte Independence vs. Hartford Athletic at American Legion Memorial Stadium: Charlotte Independence soccer plays at home against Hartford Athletic. 7pm. $15.26-$24. Details.

Bike and Brunch at Devil’s Logic Brewing 1426 East 4th St.: Join Devil’s Logic for their first-ever bike and brunch event. You’ll go on a 12-mile ride and refuel with brunch from The Hangar. 9am. Free. Details.

SouthBound Sundaze ft. DJ Kyle Genesis at 2433 South Blvd.: Soak up these last days of summer and enjoy a SoCal-inspired brunch with tunes from DJ Kyle Genesis. Drink specials include $25 mimosa pitchers, $6 Southbound ‘Ritas, and $5 Tequila Sunrise Shots. 11am to 3pm. Menu prices. Details.

Yoga Sundays at MacFly Fresh 301 Camp Rd., Ste. 106: All yoga levels are invited to meet at MacFly Fresh in Camp North End for a fun and invigorating yoga flow. Bring a mat and some water. 11am to noon. $15. Details.

Yoga on the Rooftop at the Harvey B. Gantt Center 551 South Tryon St.: Join yoga instructor Sajeedah Jones “SJ” on the rooftop of the Harvey B. Gantt Center for an energizing and inspiring yoga session that will get you in the right mindset to start your week on the right foot. Following the practice, you can treat yourself to a self-guided tour of the Gantt Center’s galleries. Bring a mat or beach towel. 12:30-1:30pm. $10, free for members. 12:30-1:30pm. $10. Details.

The Music Yard Opening Gameday at 2433 South Blvd.: Kick off the start of football season at the Music Yard’s game day viewing party. Watch from the big screen and enjoy drink specials, food and music from Kyle Genesis during commercial breaks. 12:30-8:30pm. Prices vary. Details.
