Job summary:
The Marketing Strategist will assist in the day-to-day operations of the New Forum Marketing department. This position will ultimately contribute to New Forum’s success by driving traffic, revenue, profitability, email marketing, social media development and management, online partnerships, event planning & coordination and other new marketing efforts. The ideal candidate will have prior experience with a wide range of marketing functions, including communications, advertising, branding, digital marketing, event planning and social media. The Marketing Coordinator must be an organized multitasker able to handle many diverse projects at once and meet tight deadlines.

• Assist in the development and implementation of the company’s brand strategy, as well as individual business lines
• Support the marketing department’s initiatives with the planning, executing, and tracking of marketing programs such as email, event, social media, or content marketing
• Ensure all marketing efforts serve to achieve immediate and long-term business goals, identifying and executing improvements for processes, content, and lead generation
• Prepare marketing activity reports and metrics for measuring program success
• Provide market research, forecasts, competitive analyses, campaign results, and consumer trends
• Independently coordinate marketing and community events, including overseeing logistics, managing registrations, coordinating with vendors, creating itineraries, and ordering marketing collateral
• Coordinate event or content email marketing campaigns, including copy, scheduling, testing, and database management
• Create email campaigns, perform A/B testing
• Create, proofread, and edit copy for various marketing channels, ensuring a consistent voice
• Assist with developing and managing content and social media marketing programs, including blogs and public relations efforts
• Assist with local store marketing initiatives
• Create and plan programs that engage and grow the community in participation and brand awareness
• Coordinate and maintain all necessary documentation required for third party vendors
• Communicate campaign objectives, timelines, and deliverables to the sales team, and provide instructions for use or promotion
• Plan and manage meetings, events, conferences, and trade shows by identifying, assembling, and coordinating requirements, establishing contacts, developing schedules and assignments, and coordinating mailing lists
• Maintain a directory and inventory of sales support materials, ensuring all resources are current and accurate, and coordinate the creation of new materials as needed
• Further knowledge and education regularly through workshops, research, and seminars, and share best practices, emerging trends and local marketing ideas and tactics with the team
• All other duties as assigned by management

• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, other Company staff at all levels and the general public
• Strong communication and presentation skills including the ability to effectively and professionally communicate internally and externally
• Meet strict deadlines and budget demands

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, or communications
• Minimum of three years of experience in marketing/events/public relations. Past work experience as a marketing coordinator or similar role
• Knowledge of traditional and digital marketing, content marketing, and social media marketing
• Experience with research using data analytics software
• Excellent writing, communication, and presentation skills
• Proficiency in full Microsoft Office suite, especially with Excel and PowerPoint
• Flexible schedule

Work environment:
Generally indoors in a climate-controlled environment. Generally, an office setting is the most common environment. This position is a full-time, permanent position. The daily work schedule may change according to the needs of the community, but a typical schedule is 40 hours/week.
