The Bojangles Chicken Sandwich has entered the chat

Countless others have come before, seeking to win over America’s tastebuds in the Chicken Sandwich Wars. Now, Bojangles has a new and formidable contender that’s ready for battle.

  • But seriously, this is a really good sandwich. 🔥

The Bo’s Chicken Sandwich features a juicy chicken breast that’s been marinated in a secret blend of spices and hand-breaded with a crispy buttermilk coating. It’s topped with two thick-cut dill pickles and creamy mayo and served on a toasted buttered bakery bun.

  • It comes in a special box with those ingredients listed out, for quick referencing while you’re chowing down.

We snagged a sandwich in the drive-thru at the Bojangles on West Boulevard and made it a combo with a Legendary Iced Tea® and Seasoned Fries. You can’t go wrong with a triple threat order like that.

The background: The first Bojangles’ Famous Chicken ‘n Biscuits location opened in 1977 in Charlotte. The company’s headquarters are off of Arrowood Road right here in town.

  • Bojangles is known for made-from-scratch biscuits, flavorful fried chicken, sweet tea and unique fixins (AKA sides).

They’ve always been the fried chicken pros, but this is the first classic fried chicken sandwich that Bojangles has released.
