Sales Marketing Consultant

Job overview:
To professionally and efficiently ensure all BBB Accredited Businesses have a positive experience with Better Business Bureau. Ensure all eligible BBB Accredited Businesses are offered the opportunity to learn about advertising opportunities available within our Sponsorship program. Meet all sales and production objectives.

Responsibilities:
• Conduct the sale of advertising in available mediums, primarily through telephone and email communication as well as in-person
• Ensure that only factual information about the program is communicated
• Complete paperwork and order confirmations, as necessary
• Work with businesses to ensure they have provided all artwork necessary for their advertising
• Contact BBB Accredited Businesses participating in advertising programs with BBB, prior to their advertising expiration date, for renewal and payment
• Responsible for all outstanding assigned accounts receivable
• Meet all sales objectives
• Make notes in BBB database, as appropriate
• Follow the approved script
• Other duties as assigned, responsibilities are subject to change or evolve at any time

Administrative duties:
• Performs tasks as requested by BBB senior leadership team
• Maintains timelines
• Attends BBB staff-related events as needed

Requirements: 
• Knowledge of office administrative procedures and ability to operate and troubleshoot most standard office equipment
• Highly proficient in MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Excellent communication skills, both verbally (in person and via phone) and in writing
• High level of interpersonal skills and ability to handle sensitive information and documents with confidentiality

Experience:
• Bachelor’s Degree; or any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities
• Proven sales experience
• Demonstrated Outbound Call Center or Telephone Sales experience
• Working knowledge of SEO and Google Ads
• Experience in digital advertising sales
• Experience working with Adobe Creative Suites

Working environment:
• Requires manual dexterity to sufficiently operate phones, computers, and other office equipment
• Must be able to clearly and accurately communicate to convey information using the English language, both verbally and in writing
• The ability to hear and comprehend dialogue spoken at appropriate “dinner-table conversation” levels
• Visual acuity capable of drafting, editing, reviewing, and/or comprehending materials drafted in a standard typeface size 10 font or above, are required
• Must be capable of sitting and standing for extended periods of time, as well as be able to intermittently push, pull, or lift 20+lbs. of force
