Excellence in Execution:
In collaboration with Creative Director
• Oversee the quality of all of the output of the video/photo team
• Have deep knowledge in implementing best-in-class production, pre-production, and post-production – planning, shooting, editing, equipment management, production practices and processes
• Lead the team in doing great work for a wide variety of content needs – from snappy, culturally-savvy social:06s to sales videos that hold attention and motivate action to storytelling that touches hearts
• Be a doer, too – contribute to shooting, editing, producing, or a combination of these
• Model how to create assets that breakthrough, that meet business goals, and that stay within brand guidelines
• Help produce large-scale photo and video shoots, including helping find talent and locations
• Manage budgets for equipment, personnel, and projects

Collaborate and lead:
In collaboration with Creative Director
• Act as a selfless leader who advocates for his/her team and department (servant leadership)
• Clearly define team members’ roles and responsibilities; lead with clear direction and feedback
• Take the lead on managing the career growth of team members; make growth goals for each and take the lead with personnel reviews
• Hold regular one-on-ones with team members; manage requests for PTO
• Propose revisions to job descriptions, titles, and assignments where needed; determine what positions would be the next hires.
• Supervise the department’s daily workflow, assign project workload, and monitor deadlines and budgets
• Build community and camaraderie among the members of the team
• Create plans for ongoing training to build our team’s skills, particularly as software, equipment, and social media platforms evolve
• Help create and execute quarterly OKRs (Objectives and Key Results) for the video/photo team
• Manage freelancers: find them, negotiate rates, and manage their schedules

Understand our business and brands:
• Quickly understand our operating model and brand guidelines for Movement Mortgage, Movement Bank, Movement Foundation, and Movement Schools
• Understand how content is consumed today. The majority of our marketing relies on “earned” views from people with short attention spans who have millions of content makers vying for a bit of their time
• Show that you can flex for different audiences, different tones of voice, and different goals
• Understand and model how to work with stakeholders – clarifying requests, presenting and selling ideas, and responding to input


• Bachelor’s degree in art, graphic design, marketing, communications, journalism, or other relevant fields.
• A minimum of 5 years digital experience, particularly with, but not limited to web, social, and emerging technologies.
• Experience in a marketing and/or production leadership role
• Proven success in managing teams to ideate and produce creative to meet business goals
• Experience with social content creation; stay up to date as social media and platforms evolve
• Has set the direction for and has led multi-channel marketing campaigns and on-set production of video-, photo- and audio-driven creative
• Body of previous work that displays an ability to turn an idea into a visual piece and shows consistent excellence despite variation in the size of the production budget.
• Have a proven track record of creating assets with high production value but with modest budgets and tight turnarounds
• Experience with social content creation; stay up to date as social media and platforms evolve
• Strong communication and computer skills
• Experience with brand development and multichannel marketing models.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the marketing design process
• A creative and strategic thinker
• References that attest to a willingness to be coachable, to own up to mistakes and an openness to suggestions for improvement as a manager

• Experience managing teams in an agency or agency-like setting is preferred
• Experience with executing in different tonalities a plus ¬– documentary, drama, lifestyle, fashion, and comedy are examples
• Experience with executing in different styles and tones of voice – documentary, drama, lifestyle and comedy are examples
• Experience with leading live broadcasts and multi-camera recording of live events
• A has a high tolerance for celebratory air horns and snarky, but good-natured, Slack threads
