Job summary:
The Office Manager serves as another resource for safety and security at Providence Day School. This individual should exhibit Providence Day School’s core values and have a passion for working in a school environment. The Officer Manager will assist the Director and Associate Director in all areas of safety and security and office management. The Office Manager will be tasked with and oversee the management of the safety and communication systems that affect the safety of the campus, including Punch Alert, Connect5, Visitor Management System (Lobby Guard), Access Control (DNA Fusion), Thor Guard, and TalkAPhone. The Office Manager will be responsible for managing routine daily office operations

Essential functions:
• Review and log all daily security event sheets
• Assists with hiring, training and managing all full and part-time employees within the safety and security division
• Attends all meetings that involve planning of events on campus
• Serves as a member of the schools Risk Council and Safety Committee
• Maintains contact and is accessible to school Administrators via mobile device and/or two-way radio during both regular hours and after hours
• Assists with security coverage or traffic/parking management for school events
• Assists with carpool, covering crosswalks and intersections when necessary
• Manages faculty/staff parking assignments
• Participates and assists in all tabletop exercises and campus-wide drills
• Manages and assists with the training of faculty, staff and students
• Access Control (DNA Fusion) supportive role
• Communication systems (Connect5, P.A. system, Punch Alert, Thor Guard)
• Fire Systems (Siemen and Eagle Fire) – supportive role
• Video surveillance (Milestone) – supportive role
• Visitor management system (Lobby Guard)
• Mobile Credentials
• Assists in the recommendation, development, and implementation of improvements to security procedures, equipment, and systems
• Responsible for managing routine daily office operations
• Monitors office supplies and orders supplies when needed
• Manage and keep ‘Shelter In Place’ kits up to date
• Assist with New Projects
• Assist with budget planning
• Management of the Event Calendar, updating regularly, and attending the weekly calendar meetings
• Assist the Director with the development of traffic, parking and event plans
• Other Assigned Duties

Requirements:
• Ability to work in a TK-12th grade environment and develop and maintain excellent working relationships with Faculty/Staff and Students
• Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to assist in the development and training on a variety of topics
• Knowledge of communication, cameras, access controls, and other security systems
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree and business experience is preferred; a high school diploma is required
• Strong organizational skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and be able to maintain excellent working relationships with Administration, Faculty, Staff, Students and Visitors
• Ability to manage life, safety, and security communication systems
