Looking for July Fourth plans? Here are 11 festive ideas, from firework shows to festivals.
(1) Sip a red, white and blue cocktail at Spindle Bar
Details: Starting July 1, Spindle Bar is offering a special red, white, and blue cocktail called “Dog Days” that’s made with local coconut run, frozen strawberry, blue curaçao and lime. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to a local dog shelter.

(2) Watch baseball and fireworks at the Knights Stadium
Details: Catch the Knights as they take on the Norfolk Tides, then stay afterward for a post-game, firework spectacular. Pro tip: If you can’t get tickets to the ballgame, you can watch the fireworks from Romare Bearden Park.

(3) Check out Tega Cay’s 4th of July Celebration
Details: Make your way to Tega Cay for an entire weekend of 4th of July activities including a ski show, parade, concert and fireworks show. You can see the full lineup here.

(4) Honor our flag at the Field of Flags and July 3rd Summer Celebration
Details: More than 600 flags will be on display on the front lawn of the Lowe’s YMCA in Mooresville to honor service members and first responders for all that they do. Want to order a flag kit? Flags can be purchased online here.

(5) Dress in red, white and blue for Red, White, and Brews Fest at Sycamore Brewing
Details: Head to Sycamore Brewing for live performances, food trucks, a temporary tattooing station, and Red, White & Brews 2021 swag.

(6) Spend a Star-Spangled Saturday at Optimist Hall
Details: Celebrate this Independence Day weekend by going out to Optimist Hall for live music from HC Oakes Band, a fireworks show, and food from all of your favorite OH vendors. The fireworks show starts at 9:20pm.

(7) Spend the weekend outdoors during the Whitewater Center’s Fourth of July Celebration
Details: Let freedom ring by exploring all the outdoor activities at the Whitewater Center. Weekend festivities will include live music, multiple yoga practices, and fireworks displays each day.

(8) Catch a 4th of July laser show at the Queen Charlotte Fair
Details: Ride all of your favorite carnival rides, fill up on delicious fair food, then stay for the Laser Show Spectacular.

(9) Enjoy a 4th of July BBQ drag brunch hosted by The Vanity House
Details: Join the queens of The Vanity House for a fabulous Fourth of July celebration. Your ticket includes a drag show and brunch with a menu selection from All American Pub. Doors open at 11am and the show starts at noon.

(10) Compete in a Cornhole Tournament at Billy Sunday
Details: Bring your friends out to Billy Sunday for a day on the patio complete with games, booze and barbecue. There will be a cornhole tournament, so if you and a friend would like to compete, sign up here.

(11) Find a good spot to watch Lake Wylie’s Annual Fireworks Display
Details: If you happen to be in the Lake Wylie area, here are some of the best viewing spots to catch fireworks: The Buster Boyd Bridge Boat Landing, Papa Doc’s outside deck (3990 Charlotte Highway), Rey Azteca deck at Lake Wylie Plaza (4052 Charlotte Highway), Lake Wylie Italian and Pizza on patio at Lake Wylie Plaza (4074 Charlotte Highway), Bagel Boat (4090 Charlotte Highway 49) and Long Cove Resort (14629 Rainbarrel Road, Charlotte, NC).
