Overview:
Wyndham Capital Mortgage is seeking a Servicing Specialist. The Servicing Specialist supports the servicing of newly originated mortgage loan accounts. Responsibilities may include processing routine payment transactions, following up on escrowed items (i.e., HOI and Tax disbursements), researching changes in servicers, providing payment details, responding to borrower/investor/loan officer/3rd Party inquiries, preparing documentation, or analysing requests in accordance with established guidelines and determining appropriate course of action. Handles more complex levels of transactions with limited supervision to complete daily tasks and duties. Typically has 2-4 years of experience with a working knowledge of the mortgage servicing/originations business and general office skills.

What you will be doing:
• Conducting an internal review of newly boarded loans to ensure the accuracy of information on system as it pertains to borrower data.
• Processing incoming insurance-related requests by verifying data, comparing against physical documentation for accuracy, researching exceptions/discrepancies, requesting changes, and updating borrower/servicers/3rd parties of findings.
• Resolving information gaps by working with other departments internally, contacting new servicers, title companies, and/or agencies as required to gather specific account details/information/data, and requesting loan-level updates as appropriate.
• Responsible for communicating escalated borrower concerns/requests/treatments to upper management to prevent regulatory complaints or non-compliance issues.
• Managing the departmental inbox assisting internal and external customers with inquires via phone, email or in person professionally.
• May be tasked with assisting in Report generation.
• Responsible for assisting with Payment Processing and collecting on Past Due accounts.

What we need:

• 2-4 years’ experience with a working knowledge of the mortgage servicing/originations arena and general office skills.
• Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac loan servicing experience preferred.
• Intermediate skills in computer operation including word processing, spreadsheet, and specialty software (i.e., Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.) program.
• Experience with Encompass and Microsoft Outlook
