Charlotte power couple Jonathan and Natalie Stewart just put their 7 bedroom custom Kingswood house on the market for $5.2M.
Jonathan’s a former running back for the Panthers, and now he and Natalie own the local publication Charlotte Lately. And don’t worry, the Stewart family is staying in Charlotte.
Specs: The home, located at 2715 Loch Lane, was built in 2017. At 8,459 square feet, it has 7 beds and 7 full and 3 half baths.
Design: The house has a West Coast feel with cool tones, clean lines, light wood floors, and lots of black and white. It has soaring ceilings and views of the landscaped two-acre lot from many rooms.
- The house has a number of fun details like an indoor virtual putting green, a wet bar, a pool and a media room.
- And there are touches of luxury throughout with floor-to-ceiling windows and two custom walk-in closets from California Closets. Natalie’s was designed like a boutique, and Jonathan’s has a shoe wall as the focal point. [Read more about their closets]
- Outside, there’s a living area with a fireplace and an expansive grilling set-up.
At the time they designed their first Charlotte home, it was meant to be their forever home. “But then we got the itch. And your taste changes, and you spend a lot of time on Instagram,” Natalie tells me.
What’s next: The couple is building another forever home with Kingswood. Natalie tells me they’re used to moving often with Jonathan’s football career, which has made the trite-but-true phrase “home is where the heart is” a reality for them. One of the happiest years of their life, she says, was in shoe-box apartment across from a cemetery with their then-newborn daughter’s nursery in a closet. This home sure is a long way from that.
