Overview:
The Director of Marketing Campaigns will create, execute, and track targeted marketing and communication campaigns that support the brand initiatives across campus for University Communications. The position will report to the Senior Director of Strategic Marketing, with the Alumni & Development Communications Specialist as a direct report.

The Director of Marketing Campaigns will create, execute, and track targeted marketing and communication campaigns that support the brand initiatives across campus for University Communications. The position will report to the Senior Director of Strategic Marketing, with the Alumni & Development Communications Specialist as a direct report.

This position will be responsible for working with various marketing leaders on campus including, but not limited to, colleges, departments, advancement and alumni relations, to create effective and collaborative marketing campaigns and ensure campaign elements meet timelines, stay on budget, and are tracked successfully.

For the Development department, this position will be responsible for progressing UNC Charlotte’s efforts to increase philanthropic support and engagement of alumni, parents, donors and key stakeholders. This position shares in the responsibility and success for achieving university fundraising and engagement goals and understands that communication is an important strategy in the effective development, growth, and management of university relationships.

The Director of Marketing Campaigns will provide strategic planning and execution of effective brand marketing and communications campaigns with campus constituents through paid and owned marketing channels such as direct mail, social media, email, web, digital advertising, etc., as aligned with the university mission, vision, values, and objectives.

Qualifications:
Required
• Bachelor’s degree in a discipline related to the area of assignment; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
Preferred
• Graduation from a four-year college or university with a major in a closely related field and at least three years of experience that provides the knowledge, skills and abilities needed in the area of assignment.
• Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, or equivalent field;
• Four or more years of marketing experience, preferably in higher education;
• High level of writing skills, knowledge of AP style;
• Experience in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Google suite;
• Experience in Google Analytics, Ads, Search Console a plus; and
• Experience in website design and UX, and email marketing.
