Corporate Software & Training Specialist

The Corporate Software Specialist will report to the Chief Financial Officer and will serve as the subject matter expert in corporate software platforms and training creation and delivery. The software specialist will provide direct support to all employees across multiple lines of business for all software implementations and ongoing training needs.

• Areas of expertise include: knowledge management, managing learning programs, learning impact evaluation, learning technologies, training delivery, instructional design, performance improvement, change management, coaching and integrated talent management
• Assists in the development of curriculum, training plans and training rollout of all software platforms used by New Forum and its subsidiaries (Yardi, Toast, etc.)
• Leads any patch updates, software updates, and communicates effectively those end-user impacts and changes across all lines of business as well as provides the necessary training associated with these changes
• Develops and maintains training workbooks and guidelines for key processes within the software that aligns with organizational goals
• Collaborates with Director of Human Resources on best practices for training and provides efficient goal-based training material
• Assists in developing an assessment program for all applications that will promote an effective process workflow
• Provides ongoing software training for employee development based on the end user results
• Organizes and creates role to software mapping and role to course training plans
• Coordinates logistics associated with training delivery preparation, activities such as copying and assembling printed materials, venue selection, set-up, maintenance of training rooms, equipment preparation, post training surveys, clean-up, etc.
• Would be available for new hire training as needed as well as a quality review of new hire training through the new hire’s first 90 days of employment (probationary period)
• Prepares and maintains training status reports as requested
• Remains current on developments in training and instructional methodologies, including technology enhancements and patch updates
• Creates and maintains communication plans related to training activities
• Consults with executive team to confirm software/training objectives, instructional procedures, and any risks/constraints in the planning and implementation of those objectives
• Performs other related duties as assigned

• Minimum 3-5 years hands on Yardi expertise (required)
• Adobe Acrobat DC (preferred)
• Toast / Dolce / Chatmeter (preferred)
• Grace Hill (preferred)
• Office 365 (preferred)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Public speaking and instructional training experience
• Strong attention to detail
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar Office based software

Education and experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field (preferred) or a minimum three to five years of related experience
• Certified Professional in Learning and Performance – CPLP (preferred)
• Three to five years of software experience (required)
• Three to five years of developing training content (required)
• Three to five years of instructional training experience (required)

Physical requirements:
• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
• Ability to physically be at multiple locations on any given day for onsite software needs
• Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time to print materials if required
• Must be able to lift to 15 pounds at times.

Pay: $55,000.00 – $65,000.00 per year
