South End’s first cigar and whiskey lounge opens this week with over 1,000 varieties of cigars and an expansive patio.
The Vintage aims to fill a void in the area by providing an exclusive and eclectic portfolio of cigars and spirits that you won’t find in many places around town.
“We don’t have a lot of choices in Charlotte if you want to have a cigar in an upscale location,” says owner Dan Weiss.
What to expect: Cigar-wise, The Vintage has a selection of mild, medium and full-bodied cigars in the walk-in humidor. There will even be a menu that has drink pairings for your choice of cigar.
- The drink menu will feature seasonal craft cocktails, wine, local beers and a full espresso bar.
- There will also be light bar-fare and snacks.
Space: The 3,200-square-foot space is styled as an upscale, Prohibition-era lounge with a touch of “old Havana.” There are plenty of plush sofas and big wooden common tables.
Location: The Vintage is located at 215 E. Worthington Ave., in a former Iron Tribe fitness studio. It’ll be open daily from 11am 10pm.
Timeline: The Vintage opens to the public Friday, February 19, however, sign-ups for general memberships ($20) begin online today.
