Finance & Human Resources Manager

Position Details:
Team Leader: Chief Operating Officer
Position Status: Part-time (20 hours/week)
Payroll Status: Salaried, exempt
Location: Charlotte, NC

• Oversee financial operations including development of and adherence to financial policies, processes, and procedures, and review of financial records to ensure that transactions are accurately & timely entered and reconciliations are complete
• Supervise bookkeeping staff
• Produce regular financial statements that provide an accurate, timely, and complete picture of the organization’s financial health
• Monitor cash flow & make recommendations to ensure that the organization maintains a positive and sustainable cash position
• Oversee banking relationships
• Manage insurance policies & relationship to ensure that organization is appropriately protected
• Develop and produce a standard reporting package of financial results to assist the Leadership Team in running the business and the Board in its financial oversight responsibilities
• Implement & maintain a process for budget development, presentation, monitoring, and required reforecasting, working directly with the Executive Director to develop the annual budget
• Serve as a member of the Finance Committee, providing necessary and appropriate information for that team to fulfill its functions
• Maintain tax authority relationships and required licensing
• Ensure accurate sales tax collection procedures and timely remit taxes on a monthly basis
• Provide necessary documentation for annual Form 990
• Work with auditors, providing all necessary assistance to ensure a thorough and timely audit of the organization’s financial records
• Prepare and maintain accurate documentation for grant reporting, including budgeting and reimbursement requests
• Prepare and maintain loan documentation, including application and forgiveness requirements (i.e., SBA, PPP)
• Provide ad hoc reports and analysis on a timely basis, as requested
Human Resources
• Oversee daily Human Resources operations including development, maintenance, and adherence to employment policies, processes, procedures, and manuals
• Assist the Executive Director in managing compensation structures including pay scales & incentive pay programs
• Manage the entire life-cycle of the hiring process
• On-board new hires
• Recruit, train, develop, support, supervise, and evaluate team members
• Develop, implement, and manage performance and corrective development review processes
• Respond to unemployment claims in a timely manner
• Maintain all legal and appropriate documentation related to employees
• Work with the leadership team to broaden the organization’s Human Resources capabilities, including recruitment, training/development, compensation/benefits, employee relations, performance evaluations, and benefits
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Undergraduate degree required; graduate degree or equivalent experience/certifications desired
• 10 years of experience in accounting, taxation, and/or financial management
• 5 years of basic experience in Human Resources
