The Agenda Weekender is proudly presented by Speedway Children’s Charities. If you’ve always wanted to drive around Charlotte Motor Speedway, get your chance on Saturday, November 21 at their Laps for Charity event. Fans can take a three-lap cruise around the iconic oval in their personal car for a $40 donation to SCC. Plus, you’ll get to take a photo in Victory Lane. Register here.

Comedy Night at Community Matters Cafe: Enjoy an evening of stand-up featuring local comedians. The line up for the night includes Tara Brown, Jon Alliss, Patti Leigh, and will be hosted by Lauren Ansley. Tickets include one beverage, (non-alcoholic as Community Matters Cafe is an alcohol-free space) plus your choice of a selection of plated desserts prepared by the Community Matters Café chef. 8-9:30 p.m. $30. Movies at Victoria Yards: Starting at 6:30 p.m., you can enjoy food trucks and live music. Then at 8:30 p.m. catch a screening of “Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs and Shaw.” Seating is extremely limited and attendees must follow CDC guidelines. 6:30-10:30 p.m. Free. Details.

Live Music at the Thomas Streatery: Dine outside and enjoy DJ tracks from That Guy Smitty. 5:30-7:30 p.m. Details.

Pre Vox Trio at The Mint Museum: Listen to live music, peruse the museum, and grab a cocktail from the cash bar. Sounds swanky. 6-9 p.m. $10-$15 non-members. Details.

Jared Freid at The Fillmore Charlotte: Maybe you tune into his Bachelorette/Bachelor live screams on Instagram or listen to one of his dating podcasts. Either way, comedian Jared Freid brings the joy we all need right now. He’s got two socially distanced outdoor shows this weekend. 6 p.m. (Friday & Saturday). $27.50. Details.

University City Food Truck Friday at Armored Cow Brewing Co.: Head out to Armored Cow Brewing Co. to enjoy live music and food trucks. This week’s food truck line-up includes Another Food Truck, ScratchKitchen CLT, Chimi Spot, Lobster Dogs, Yappy Hour, Screamery Creamery, and music by Lisa De Novo. 4-9:30 p.m. Menu pricing. Details.

We Are Hip Hop: The Reveal at Camp North End: Make your way to Camp North End for a preview of the Blumenthal Performing Arts Center’s newest series — We Are Hip Hop. The event will feature pop-up performances, art installations, DJ battles, live b-boying, and a massive mural reveal. The event runs Friday-Saturday. 6 p.m. Free. Details.

Charlotte Symphony Orchestra On-Demand, online: Enjoy a live-stream performance from The Charlotte Symphony Orchestra in the comfort of your home. Resident Conductor Christopher Warren-Green will lead the orchestra in playing pieces by Copland, Coleridge-Taylor, Mark O’Connor, and John Williams. 7:30 p.m. $20. FURNISHED – an event benefiting Furnish For Good, online: Ten Charlotte interior designers put together a vignette using the same basic furnishings, and you can vote on your favorite one by making a donation. I can’t overstate how stacked the lineup of designers is — Barrie Benson, Dressing Room Interiors, Dwell by Cheryl,  House of Nomad, The English Room, Traci Zeller, and more. Proceeds benefit Furnish for Good. You can vote now until November 15. Details.

O Davidson Lager Release at NoDa Brewing: Calling all Wildcats (or anyone who appreciates an easy-to-drink lager). This new brew, made for Davidson College, is now available on tap and in cans at NoDa. Expect it to hit some retailers soon. 3-10 p.m. Free to attend. Details.

Peppermint Forest Christmas Shop Open House & Sale at 11729 Carolina Place Pkwy, Pineville: Y’all, I’m putting the tree up early this year.
