Social Pet Hotel & Daycare is looking to hire a positive, hard-working dog lover as a full-time Pet Care Specialist to work at our Charlotte, NC facility. As a Pet Care Specialist, you help feed and water dogs according to feeding schedules and instructions. You wash, clean, organize, and disinfect facilities, yards, and equipment as is necessary to maintain an attractive and healthy environment for everyone. You are one of the reasons that our facility is kept so clean and runs smoothly.

You maintain accurate records of all feeding and medication administration and communicate clearly with your team members any important information they need to be aware of pertaining to each dog’s health and well-being. With careful attention, you observe dog behavior and ensure the dogs are safe and healthy at all times. You are never bored and enjoy assisting with a variety of tasks in this fast-paced environment.

You get to enjoy all kinds of canine love, from giant, enthusiastic, slobbery love to dainty, reserved love. You freely dole out petting and affection to dogs of all breeds and temperaments. You love them all! You know them by name and learn each of their individual traits and needs. Your genuine respect for animals shines through in everything you do. You are a big part of the reason that our four-legged friends love to come to daycare!

• Must be 18 years or older
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to complete FetchFind comprehensive skills training upon hire
• Physically capable of handling dogs of all sizes
• Ability to be on your feet for long periods of time
• Ability to lift 50 lbs bags of dog food on a regular basis
• Customer service skills
• A passion for animals

This position at our boarding facility has a varied schedule of morning, afternoon, and evening 6-hour shifts. Social Pet is open 365 days a year, so a willingness to work weekends and holidays is part of the job.

Compensation and benefits:
This animal care position starts at $10.00/hr, depending on experience. All of our employees are eligible for performance-based bonuses every 2 weeks, free yoga classes, free daycare for their dogs while on shift, and 50% off daycare and boarding for their dogs while not at work. Our full-time employees are also eligible for medical benefits, a 401(k), 40 hours per year of paid time off (PTO), and education reimbursement.
