The Agenda Weekender is proudly presented by the Speedway Drive-In Concert Series. If you’ve been missing concerts this year, good news – Charlotte Motor Speedway is hosting live drive-in concerts this fall(!!). The first shows are happening September 25 & 26 with pop acts Quinn XCII + Chelsea Cutler on Friday night and country acts Chris Janson + Mitchell Tenpenny on Saturday night. Snag a ticket. (Pro tip: Saturday night tickets go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. if you want to be first in line).

Paper Skyscraper Annual Fall Sale at 330 East Blvd.: Get a head start on holiday shopping at Paper Skyscraper’s Annual Fall Sale. All candles and puzzles are 25% off including new arrivals, and clearance items consist of products with small packaging imperfections or blemishes. The sale runs through Sunday. Prices vary. Beachcomber Exhibition Unveiling at LaCa Projects: Internationally acclaimed contemporary artist Carlos Estévez returns to LaCa Projects for his third solo exhibition. Beachcomber is a multimedia exhibition that consists of over 50 artworks in painting, found object assemblage, and ceramics. To celebrate the exhibition, there will be a socially distant opening reception. Free. 3-8 p.m. Details.

Make Your Own Hand Scrub at The Ballantyne Hotel: This fall, The Ballantyne Hotel is launching a series of special, themed weekends — the first being “Wellness Weekend.” At this event, guests will be able to create their own hand scrub drawing from a selection of essential oils, organic avocado, and coconut oil. Package your scrub in a provided glass jar and continue the pampering at home. Registration required. $20 per person. 5 p.m. Details.

Sounds on the Square at Spirit Square: Head out to Spirit Square on College Street to see comedian Gabby Moore followed by Folk-Rock artist, Brit Drozda. This is an outdoor event and socially distanced seating will be available for the first 50 guests on a first-come, first-served basis. Alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase by card only. A live stream of this event will be shared on the Blumenthal Facebook page. Face masks required. The Eric Brice Group at Middle C Jazz: Legendary jazz guitarist Eric Brice is taking over Middle C Jazz. A few of his career highlights include performing for both President George Bush and President Barack Obama. Additionally, Brice has shared stages with music icons like Stevie Wonder, Chaka Khan, Whitney Houston, and Patti LaBelle. $28 club seating 7 p.m. and 9:15 p.m. Details.

Remember the Titans & Friday Night Lights at Truist Field: Head to Truist Field and experience “Remember the Titans,” “Friday Night Lights,” “Jurassic World,” and “The Avengers” on the giant video board. Choose from three socially distanced seating options: on the field, in the Budweiser Home Plate Club, or on the concourse. $10+. 6:30 p.m. Details.

SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 19

OrthoCarolina 10K Classic: OrthoCarolina is hosting its first-ever virtual 10K event. Runners will be able to run their own course on their own time. All proceeds for the event will support local non-profits Care Ring and Running Works. $30. Details.

Beers and Burpees Charity Event at Indian Land Crossfit: Over 80 local gyms are partnering together for a day of outdoor workouts and beer to raise money for the Dream on 3 Charity organization and the Changing Lives Together Foundation. The workout will take place in heats every 40 minutes, and there will be a Craft Beer Garden, food trucks, adaptive athlete division, and music. $135-$155 per team of two. 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Details.

Levine Museum re-opens to the public: The Levine Museum of the New South is re-opening to the public at half-capacity starting Saturday. Masks will be required. $10 general admission. 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Details.

U-Pick Pumpkins at Cotton Hills Farm: Spend a day picking pumpkins on South Carolina’s largest pumpkin farm. There’s plenty of room for visitors to social distance and enjoy beautiful farm views. Prices vary. 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Details.

West Kept Secret Outdoor Pop-Up at Optimist Hall: Join West Kept Secret co-owners, Marissa West, and Heidi Hilman for a fun, outdoor workout at Optimist Hall. WKS combines aspects of cardio, strength training, and pilates into high-intensity, interval-based workouts. Post-workout snacks will be provided by Village Juice Co. All fitness levels welcome. Afternoon on the Grounds at The Charlotte Museum of History: For one day only, The Charlotte Museum of History is inviting the public to take a self-guided outdoor tour of its eight-acre grounds. Known for being Charlotte’s oldest homesite, the museum grounds will take visitors on a trip to the past with its picturesque gardens and historic landscape. Tickets must be purchased in advance and will be limited to allow for social distancing. $10 per carload. Noon to 5 p.m. Details.

Haunted History Tour Historic Rosedale at 3427 N. Tryon St.: On this haunted history tour, a group will be guided through the historic 1815 house and the reconstructed blacksmith shop. People officially on the tour may not be the only ones in attendance. Tour is limited to 20 people to allow for social distancing. $15 (early bird) $20 (week of). 1:30-2:30 p.m. Details.

University City Wine Festival at Armored Cow Brewing Co.: Sign up to enjoy an afternoon of wine tasting. The event will be held in the outdoor space of Armored Cow Brewing. Tickets include all-day sampling and a souvenir tasting glass. $35 general admission. 2-6 p.m. Details.

Little Bird & The Mongos Drive-In Concert at The Music Yard: Pull up to The Music Yard to hear performances from Indie R&B, Soul group Little Bird, and Charlotte-based indie-rock trio The Mongos. Carside food and beverage service provided by Southbound. $50+ per carload. 7:30-11 p.m. Details.

Counterculture Club Outdoor Yoga at Camp North End: Head to the Boileryard at Camp North End for an outdoor flow. This socially-distanced class is for yogis of all levels. Bring a mat, towels, and any props you may need. Hand sanitizer and water will be provided. $10. 10-11 a.m. Details.

Rosé-Mimosa-Soirée at the Shoppes at University Place: The University City WineFest comes to a close with a Rosé-Mimosa-Soirée. Tickets include rosé, cider, and sparkling wine samplings. Famous Toastery will be taking pre-orders for brunch at an additional cost and DJ Mal Funk Shun will be spinning all the brunch jams. $25. 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Details.

Outdoor Yoga at Edge City Brewery: Enjoy a socially distanced slow flow vinyasa class outside on Edge City Brewery’s spacious covered patio. A beverage of your choice is included with the class. Registration required. $10. 11 a.m. to noon. Details.

Panthers vs. Tampa Bay Bucs at the Charlotte Beer Garden: Head over to the Charlotte Beer Garden to join the Roaring Riot in cheering for the Carolina Panthers as they take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Capacity has been limited to allow for social distancing and masks are required. Free to attend. 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Details.

The Drive-in, Poetic Edition at Charlotte Art League: Drive out to hear local spoken word poets, singers, and musicians share their talents in a unique drive-in event. Tickets are $5 per person and $10 per car. 4-6 p.m. Details.

Sean Mason Trio Middle C Jazz: Head to Middle C Jazz to hear esteemed pianist and composer Sean Mason. And get this – he’s only 22. Even at his young age, Sean is already a force to be reckoned with in the jazz world. He’s performed with jazz legends like Branford Marsalis, Wynton Marsalis, Delfeayo Marsalis, and Herlin Riley – among other great jazz artists. And as if he couldn’t get even more impressive, Sean also leads his own band, The Sean Mason Trio which performs frequently across the country. $28 club seating. 6:30-8 p.m. Details.
