Girl Tribe Co. is expanding its South End footprint, unveiling a second concept directly above its Camden Road store called Girl Tribe Pop Up Loft. It opens September 26th.
The new space will recreate the pop-up market shopping experience that first launched the brand back in 2015. You’ll be able to browse items from between 50 and 100 vendors you’ve come to expect to see at the in-person events. The brands are all women-owned businesses, and the vast majority are locally-owned, too.
Girl Tribe Co. co-founder Sarah Baucom says, “We’ve been trying to find a way to carry our Girl Tribe Pop Up brand throughout the year. In March and April, people were all about supporting local, but we’ve definitely seen sales dip in the summer. It’s like ‘OK, what’s the next thing?’
“We wanted to be creative and get out in front of the public and try to turn lemons into lemonade. We want people to have the maximum amount of opportunity to shop these vendors and support them.”
Location: The Loft’s exact address is 1800 Camden Road Suite suite 202, directly above the current Girl Tribe store.
How it works: Enter through the Girl Tribe store and head upstairs. You’ll also be able to shop Girl Tribe Pop Up Loft items online.
Private parties available: With the Loft comes the creation of a private shopping experience. For $25 a head, up to ten people can rent out both the upstairs and downstairs spaces for an after-hours, exclusive, BYOB shopping experience. Private parties receive 15 percent off the entire Girl Tribe store downstairs, plus a VIP gift bag similar to what you’d receive if you purchased VIP access to the in-person Girl Tribe Pop Up events.
Hours: The Girl Tribe Pop Up Loft will be open Thursday – Sunday from 11 a.m. – 6 p.m. Book a private party Monday through Sunday from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m.
Safety protocols in place: Girl Tribe Co. requires masks to enter the shop and has put a strict sanitation protocol into place, including frequent cleaning of store surfaces. Employees steam all items that have been tried on before they’re permitted to be placed back onto racks for other customers to browse. Both the stores will be limited to 10 guests at a time.
