We’re excited to announce that Symphony Webber will join our team on Monday, August 3, as a reporter and photographer covering things to do around the city.
Symphony is a Charlotte native and a 2019 graduate of Duke University, where she studied visual and media studies.
Symphony brings a wealth of photography and videography experience, as well as a background in social media management. Most recently, she worked as social media coordinator for Charlotte-based Stellar Designs, in addition to her freelance video work.
In her new role as a “things to do” reporter at Agenda, Symphony will be readers’ go-to source for what’s happening around town. She’ll manage our regular Weekday Planner and Weekender stories, and she’ll continue to grow our social media coverage of events, food, and more.
“I’m excited to develop a deeper relationship with the Charlotte community and tell the stories of the businesses that give the city life and character,” she says. “I’ll essentially be one of Charlotte’s biggest cheerleaders — a hype woman if you will.”
Throughout these challenging times, we could all use a little more cheer, right?
Symphony also will help grow the Agenda’s visual presence. Symphony’s technical skills will help tell stories in new ways that ultimately get at the mission of the Agenda: to make Charlotte smarter and better connected.
If you’re a regular Agenda reader, you might recognize Symphony from her work over the past couple months. She’s helped produce suburb guides, photographed our LGBTQ+ owned businesses story, and contributed to our Instagram page.
Welcome to the team, Symphony!
