Overview:
The world-class Global Communications Team at Barings is seeking a strong Global Communications Coordinator to support the Chief Communications Officer and the communications function. This individual will provide timely, proactive, and thorough support to the CCO while working closely with peers across business units and functions. This role requires both internal and external coordination with excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communications skills. This new position will be located in the firm’s headquarters in Charlotte, NC.

Responsibilities:
• Key point of contact for the global Communications Team
• Facilitate information flow, including email, phones, voicemail, mail, other messages and key reports in a reliable fashion
• Maintain highly confidential and sensitive information
• Proactive management of calendar, scheduling and time management
• Gather and/or create information for various reports, presentations in all MS office applications and other presentation tools
• Organize highly complex travel arrangements across multiple time zones, including overseas flights, transportation, accommodation, visas, logistics, etc.
• Coordinate meeting preparations and arrangements involving senior-level management and global team members
• Assist with budget management, expense preparation, contracts, RFPs and maintenance
• Develop and update spreadsheets and databases as requested
• Coordination with public relations agencies, vendors and other service providers
• Provide support for town halls including vendor management and assist with special projects, as needed
• Help develop global processes, protocols, and policies
• Assist with pilot and launch of new intranet and execution of new media monitoring capabilities
• Manage and centralize all media and team research subscriptions
• Help support compliance approval and newswire posting process for all press releases and supporting materials

Qualifications:
Minimum of Associate’s Degree preferred
• Prior experience working with a global communications or marketing team in financial services is a plus
• Proven track record supporting executives and global, 24/7 teams
• Highly proficient administrative skills including MS Office applications, PowerPoint
• Speed, flexibility and ability to multi-task and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Outstanding judgment and problem-solving ability
