
If you’re missing fresh produce as you limit trips to the grocery store, or wishing you could support your favorite farmers’ market vendors right now, you’re in luck.
Here’s a list of local farms and artisans delivering or offering pickup right now. Some come straight to your door, while others offer social distancing-approved pickup.
(1) Freshlist
Shop Freshlist’s online marketplace to order anything from produce to meal kits from hundreds of local farmers and food makers. They’ll coordinate with those producers to gather your order and deliver it to your home (or a pickup location if your zip code isn’t in range).

(2) Heritage Harvest Farms
Order online for home delivery of farmer’s boxes (filled with eggs, herbs, veggies, and fresh-baked sourdough), a variety of mushrooms, and more. Boxes are priced $20-$45.

(3) Barbee Farms
You can pick up pre-packed produce boxes at Barbee Farms’ stand in Concord from noon to 5:30 p.m. on weekdays and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday. There’s also a Davidson Library pickup station noon to 2 p.m. on Wednesdays. A small box is $15 and a large one is $30.

(4) Tega Hills Farms
Tega Hills’ farm stand is open for pickup noon to 6 p.m. on weekdays. You can order ahead and schedule pickup if you don’t want to peruse the offerings there.

(5) Wild Hope Farm
You can order vegetables, pasture-raised eggs, flowers, and herbs online ahead of time and pick your order up on Saturdays at Matthews Community Market from the trailer in the parking lot. You can also explore the market.

(6) Charlotte Regional Farmers’ Market
The Charlotte Regional Farmers’ Market is still open, with increased space between vendors to abide by social distancing rules. The market maintains its regular hours of 8 a.m to 5 p.m. Tuesday-Saturday. Note: At-risk populations are encouraged to visit during lower traffic times (Tuesday-Thursday).

(7) Davidson Farmers’ Market
The Davidson Farmers’ Market is closed, but many of its vendors are offering offsite pickup at the Davidson Library. Check here for each week’s offering and pre-order online with your vendors of choice.

(8) Mathews Farmers’ Market
The Mathews market is still open 8 a.m. to noon every Saturday (with new safety precautions), and you can check here for a list of vendors offering pre-order or online shopping to limit your exposure.

(9) Rivendell Farms of the Carolinas
Rivendell has put together a map of emergency food resources for the Charlotte area, which you can check out here. Resources include drive-up distribution points, free lunch program locations, and resources for seniors and children.

(10) Uptown Farmers’ Market
The Uptown Farmers’ Market was set to open this spring, but now it’s offering a virtual farmers’ market instead. Shop vendors virtually here.

(11) Kings Drive Farmers’ Market
The market is open 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday, and 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday. Pre-gathered produce boxes are available for $25 if you don’t want to walk the market on your own.

(12) Hodges Family Farm
Use Hodges Family Farm’s online shopping platform for fresh produce, meats, and cheese available for pickup at the farm’s location in Charlotte, right by Reedy Creek Nature Preserve.
