What once was The Packhouse will soon become an upscale Mexican concept named Boga Mexicana.

The Packhouse and Joe & Nosh both sold a few weeks ago. The new owner is Vishnu Varthanan, who has been a restaurant operator in Germany for the past few years and is looking to bring a concept to the United States.

Varthanan couldn’t be reached for comment and is currently in Mexico buying fixtures and equipment for Boga Mexicana, according to his broker, Tom Mueller of Blanq Real Estate, who shared this news with the Agenda.

It’s unclear what changes will take place at Joe & Nosh (including a potential name change), but expect it to still have a coffee shop element.

Previous Packhouse and Joe & Nosh owner Deedee Mills will continue to operate her other two restaurants, Mayobird and The Summit Room in Dilworth.
