The Digital Marketing Manager at Extended Stay America is a critical role within the Digital team as the position assists with our Paid Media channel, manages our Affiliate channel, owns our Extended Plus Program and leads regular ad hoc digital projects. This role works closely with and reports to, the Director of Acquisition and Retention Marketing.

Key job duties:
Assist in the management of our Paid Media channel (inclusive of Paid Search, Display, Metasearch, etc.), including, but not limited to the following

• Act as project manager on partner/program launches and improvements.
• Work closely with our Paid agencies and internal Creative team to deliver relevant Display creative.
• Assist in the analysis of campaign performance and report findings to leadership.
• Partner with the product team to improve conversion of Paid initiatives.
• Investigate and work cross-functionally to resolve partner or vendor issues (related to price parity, competitive bidding, data feeds, etc.).
Manage all aspects of our Affiliate channel, including, but not limited to the following
• Develop and implement data-informed strategies to optimize program revenue and ROI.
• Manage our Affiliate OPM, ensure execution of deliverables.
• Produce and maintain program goals, including booked revenue, ROI and budget.
• Manage and produce the channel reporting, provide insights and recommendations to management.
• Manage placement requests from partners. Work with our Creative team to produce new creative.
• Work with our Affiliate OPM to develop ongoing program testing and optimization.
• Propose and coordinate launch of new partners and networks.
• Manage our blogger program, including monthly blog post count and budget goals.
• Develop copy for text links, newsletters and publisher descriptions.
• Work closely with IT to ensure accurate tracking and to enhance program functionality.
Manage all aspects of our Extended Plus Program, including, but not limited to the following
• Develop and implement data-informed strategies to optimize program revenue and ROI.
• Produce and maintain regular program reporting (e.g. Craigslist reports, Advertiser performance, etc.) as well as ad hoc analyses.
• Monitor, analyze and provide insights on performance (via regular presentations) to upper management.
• Maintain bi-weekly rate updates for program advertising.
• Manage relationships with apartment website vendors. Lead status calls, continually push for program optimization (e.g. enhanced advertising placements, additional filters, etc.).
• Propose and launch new advertising partners, including negotiation of terms, contract review, coordination of data feed, launch with Central Reservation Office (CRO), etc.
• Lead quarterly calls with our CRO team to identify areas of opportunity within our call flow and agent scripting.
• Drive regular field and HSC training on the program. Develop training materials and maintain field tools (e.g. the Craigslist template).
• Lead calls with regional field teams to diagnose and resolve Craigslist–and program compliance–issues and reporting.
Manage other miscellaneous ad hoc projects
• Assist with other Digital channels (eCommerce/Product, Email, CRM and Social) as needed, including coordination of deliverables and production of reporting and analyses.

Knowledge, skills, abilities and competencies:
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work with external agencies and vendors and with internal cross-functional teams
• Good leadership skills, with the ability to lead agency/vendor and cross-functional meetings
• Keen attention to detail
• Strong problem-solving abilities
• Experience in data analytics, knowledge of software solutions such as Tableau is a bonus
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite, strong Excel skills
• Experience managing direct reports and/or agency partners

Minimum qualifications:
• Minimum 4 years of experience in a Marketing role, 3 of which in Digital Marketing.
• BA or BS, preferably with focus on Marketing, Communications, Psychology or Business.
