Custom Ink, an online custom printing giant, recently opened a brick and mortar showroom in the Park Road Shopping Center — right between Jami Masters School of Dance and the Park Road Shoe Service.

The exact address is 530 Brandywine Road, Suite C, and they’ll have their grand opening event from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, June 29 — but they’re open now if you want to check it out sooner.

Background: Custom Ink started 20 years ago as an online custom T-shirt printing company, but since then they’ve expanded their products and have recently started opening brick and mortar shops where they “geographically have some presence,” including in Charlotte, Marketing Manager Lyn Famiglietti told me.

“We’re finding there’s customers who are more comfortable ordering in person,” Lyn said. “They want to see the products first-hand, compare colors, compare T-shirt styles, or maybe they’re unsure of how the design will turn out and need to talk through that in person.”

Products: They have T-shirts, jackets, polos, Tervis tumblers, Pop Sockets, coasters, mugs, koozies, canvas totes, fanny packs and just about any other item you’d possibly want to slap a logo or phrase on. Lyn explained that bulk orders start at six items — and most clients do order in bulk — but you can order as little as one item for some products. They do corporate orders for things like branded company tees and promotional goods, but they also do personal products like family reunion fanny packs or bachelorette shirts.

Existing clients: “Customers range from nationally recognized brands like hotel chains to small businesses that are just launching,” Lyn said. Some customers have included UNC Charlotte, Queens University and Central Piedmont Community College.

Pricing: Pricing varies quite a bit, so I had Lyn break down two scenarios for me. Let’s say you need 15 tanks for a bachelorette weekend, you can expect to pay around $23 each if you use multiple colors for the design and around $19 for one color. If a medium-sized company (around 30 people) wanted polos with their logo on the front, the price would be $27.85 each.

Store hours: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily. You can walk in or set an appointment.
