The Lucky Duck, an Irish-inspired gastropub, is now serving dinner at 5 p.m. daily in Baxter Village.
The team behind CO, the popular Southeast Asian restaurant with two Charlotte locations, is also behind this new Fort Mill restaurant. The exact location is 993 Market St and they’re also working on a rooftop patio that’ll be open within the next few months.
Menu: The menu is inspired by the flavors of Ireland. Executive Chef Joshua Chapman says that the menu blends “familiar flavors with generations-old Irish recipes all with an eco-minded culinary focus.” Joshua previously worked as the executive chef at popular Asheville restaurant Corner Kitchen. “We’re sourcing the best ingredients we can find to create simple yet elevated dishes.”
Dishes include an Irish stew ($8), spinach goat cheese salad ($14), Hawaiian poke ($14.50), drunken mussels ($16), house smoked salmon ($19), fish and fries ($19), curry laska ($20) and shepards pie ($22). You can view the current full menu here.
Additionally, a charcuterie menu will soon be added and pastry chef Rachel Taylor is developing desserts innovative desserts like Frozen Smores.
It’s an eclectic mix of dishes that skews Irish, Asian and new American.
Drinks: Along with their creative dishes, the restaurant will offer 20 beers on tap, craft cocktails, assorted wines and gourmet sodas. Craft cocktails range from $11 to $13 and include their “Dublin Donkey” – Drumshanbo Irish gin, giner beer, lime and mint.
Space: The Lucky Duck is both welcoming and unconventional with custom neon signs, distressed wood, brick flooring and repurposed metals.
