iFLY, a modern indoor skydiving facility with 37 locations around the world, is now open in Concord.
I’d describe iFLY as the Topgolf of skydiving.
How it works: From check-in to check-out the iFLY experience lasts about 1.5 hours. You’ll sign a flight waiver, watch others from the Flight Deck, undergo training from a certified bodyflight instructor, and gear up with a flight suit and helmet. Then, your instructor will lead you into the Flight Chamber where it’s time to fly.
Getting in: It’s not as dramatic as it seems, you just walk up to the edge of the entrance (looks like an open door) and slowly lean into the wind.
Flying: Instructors are super helpful, and it’s easier than it looks. Try to relax. Act like you’re effortlessly “floating on water,” the instructor told us. The instructor will be in the flight chamber with you.
Flight length: Each flight lasts one minute. You can see the timer in the control room (looks like a DJ booth) that’s connected to the flight chamber. It blinks when it’s time to go.
Partygoers: iFly has two rooms private rooms in the back that can be used for parties or corporate outings.
Pricing: For first time flyers, it starts at $70 for two flights. iFLY offers seven different packages depending on how many flights you want, and they also offer discounts for groups and returning flyers.

My iFLY instructor, Willow. Great guy. He jumped into the flight chamber afterward, and it was ridiculous.
