RuRu’s: $5 “Friend Zone” and “Magic Mike” margaritas on Mondays

Margarita breakdown: RuRu’s Friend Zone — tequila, agave, line juice, orange juice with a salted rim (normally $8.75); and Magic Mike (skinny margarita) — tequila, agave, lime juice, no salt (normally $9.25).

O-Ku: Half-priced sushi rolls on Mondays and Wednesdays

Fine Print: 5-7 pm every Monday and Wednesday.


What to order: Red Dragon Roll (normally $14) — Tempura shrimp, avocado, spicy crab mix, eel sauce and crunch. Their other two most popular rolls are the Salmon & Lemon Roll and the Spicy Rainbow Roll.

The Crunkleton: $1 raw oysters on Mondays

Dinner: If you’re staying for dinner, go with their “A Really Good Burger” and finish up on the meal with The Crunkleton’s Campfire S’mores for dessert.

Cocktail: Order “The Painkiller Cocktail” (rum base obviously) or the “A Dusty Cactus” to wash down the oysters.

Sycamore Brewing: 24-ounce mug fill-ups for pint prices ($6 or $6.50)

How it works: It’s members-only, but becoming a member is easy — you just have to purchase a $30 mug at their taproom or online.

Quote: “The Monday vibe in the taproom is really cool — it’s a slower pace and guests get a chance to relax and talk to our bartenders about our beer in a laid-back relaxing environment,” Sycamore Brewing co-owner Sarah Taylor Brigham told the Agenda.

JJ’s Red Hots: $2 signature dogs on Tuesdays

Fine Print: The special is available after 3 pm at JJ’s Dilworth location.

Reid’s Fine Foods: Almost half-priced steakburger on Tuesdays

Details: It’s an 8-ounce Steakburger made from filet mignon, sirloin and ribeye ground in-house from Reid’s award-winning butcher shop. You have the option to choose your cheese, two toppings and a side. The meal will run you $8.50 on Tuesdays (normally $15).

More specials: Half-off wines by the glass on Wednesdays and half-priced bottles of wine on Saturdays.

The Roasting Company: $10.89 pot pie special on Wednesdays

Details: Order cooked or take and bake at home, but act swiftly, these pot pies are known to sell out fast.


Craft: $6 cheese and charcuterie plates on Wednesdays

Details: The charcuterie includes olives and prosciutto while the cheese board has two local cheese varieties with fruit. Both come with locally baked bread, and both are only $6 on Wednesdays.

Suffolk Punch: Select $3 taps on Thursdays and Sundays

Go with: A Patchwork Orange, a super tasty American IPA (5.7% abv).

Did you know: In North Carolina, you can’t do “happy hour” specials, so restaurants and bars have to keep the same price for the entire day. So yes, it’s $3 beers all day on Thursdays and Sundays at Suffolk Punch.
