Reporting directly to the VP, Training and Development and consistent with the mission of Girls on the Run, the Training Manager is responsible for the analysis, design, development, delivery and evaluation of in-person and virtual trainings for the staff and board members of Girls on the Run councils and headquarters. Using a strong project management approach, the Training Manager will collaborate with internal and external teams and subject matter experts as well as GOTR leadership to ensure training content is applicable, effective and delivered in a timely fashion. Additionally, this position will assist with design and maintenance of new and existing eLearning courses as well as system administration of our Learning Management System, the GOTR Learning Academy.

This position is a full-time position and is located in the Girls on the Run International office in Charlotte, NC.

Training analysis, design, development, delivery and evaluation
• Research and analyze innovative training options, delivery methods and techniques for synchronous and asynchronous eLearning and adult learning.
• Assist VP, Training and Development with identifying training needs and providing training needs consultation.
• Serve as a resource to staff on training content and best practices, utilizing current industry standards.
• Design and develop content and support tools for a variety of delivery platforms including but not limited to instructor-led, eLearning and self-paced web-based training.
• Create design plans, storyboards, narrative scripts, videos, graphics, etc. for eLearning modules and manage development of eLearning modules.
• Incorporate multimedia elements into learning products, including but not limited to videos, imagery, animations or interactive elements.
• Perform testing and quality assurance on all products to ensure accuracy and effectiveness.
• Troubleshoot and resolve eLearning module or other virtual training issues.
• Assist VP, Training & Development in research and implementation of 3rd party training content.
• Research potential training subject matter experts and event speakers and cultivate relationships as appropriate.
• Integrate trainings into virtual learning management system and maintain virtual training catalog.
• Facilitate virtual and in person training as needed.
• Develop and implement training evaluation to demonstrate impact of training initiatives and maintain regular reporting and data.
• Assist with hosting and recording webinars, receive and manage prerecorded audio and video and compile collateral for inclusion in final products.
Project management
• Develop project plans for new training initiatives to include key deliverables, timelines, resource allocation, budget and communication plans.
• Ensure effective and timely communication with internal and external teams, subject matter experts and GOTR HQ staff to ensure that requirements are being met and projects are kept on schedule.
• Manage all training project budgets and coordinate with finance department to ensure payments.
• Assist VP, Training and Development as needed with the development of marketing materials that build training brand awareness.
• Assist VP, Training and Development as needed with various training initiatives, including annual organization-wide conference, regional trainings, etc., including scheduling, researching presenters, content development and on-site event support.
• Nurture and support a caring, results-oriented culture that embraces personal responsibility, performance and quality.
• Exemplify the Girls on the Run core values with others to advance the organization’s mission.
• Maintain high standard of integrity and ensure security of confidential information.
• Work independently as well as a part of cross-functional teams.
• Develop positive relationships with council directors, volunteers, board members, community members and staff.
• Any other duties deemed necessary by the VP, Training and Development.

• Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of experience in instructional design or adult education and development or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Demonstrated success in the design, development and implementation of eLearning curricula.
• Extensive knowledge of instructional design theory (ADDIE) and adult learning principles.
• Experience with in-person and virtual training delivery methods.
• Experience using and managing a learning management system, Cornerstone OnDemand preferred.
• Proven project management skills.
• Extensive knowledge of Kirkpatrick Levels of Evaluation and experience developing and implementing training evaluation measures.
• High proficiency with or the ability to quickly become proficient in various technologies and software, including: WebEx, Articulate, Camtasia, Adobe Captivate, Storyline, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Passion for empowering girls to reach their limitless potential.

Compensation and benefits:
• This position is offering a compensation range of $54,000 -$58,000, depending on experience.
