This $119 Amazon coat has gone viral.

When popular event planner and designer Katrina Hutchins posted an Instastory of her new coat to her 6,600 followers, she didn’t expect to get this type of reaction.

“I have had hundreds of direct messages on Instagram from women telling me that they bought the coat and love it,” explained Katrina. “It’s flattering for all body types and sizes and comes in multiple colors!”

Katrina bought the coat after one of her NYC friends posted this NY Magazine article which discusses the coat’s rise in popularity.

Since so many Charlotteans were buying the coat, Katrina jokingly asked if anyone would be interested in a “Coat Happy Hour.” And after an overwhelmingly positive response, it’s now happening.

On December 3rd at Dilworth Tasting Room, from 6-8 p.m., women will come together for the official Coat Charity Happy Hour.

Coat owners should wear “The Coat” and bring a coat to donate to Steve’s Coats for Kids (distributed by Crisis Assistance Ministry).

“In today’s day where there is so much discourse and divide in our country, I am genuinely tickled that we can all agree on something — we all love THE COAT,” shared Katrina.
