(1) Chef Paul Verica uses local ingredients throughout the entire menu.
And a shout out is given to the appropriate vendors and farmers at the bottom of the menu.
Don’t get too attached to what you see, though. The menu is subject to change based on availability of ingredients (and on chef’s culinary creativity).

Tempura green beans with sweet and spicy sauce ($10)

BLT – brioche, tomatoes, summer crisp lettuce, house bacon, Hellman’s mayo, chips ($14)

Shrimp and grits – shrimp, grits, okra, corn, tomatoes, hot sauce ($16)

Strip steak hash – potatoes, peppers, onions, shrooms, fried egg, onion rings ($17)

Buttermilk pancakes – blueberries, bacon, pure maple syrup ($12)
(2) The specialty doughnut flavor changes each week, and you should absolutely order it.
Vanilla and chocolate are available every Sunday, but why not go for something different? Sous chef Alex Verica changes the flavor each weekend. When I visited, the doughnut was glazed in cinnamon-apple and topped with pickled apples. Delish.

Alex’s doughnut of the day ($2.50)
(3) The Bloody Mary is full of all the things.
Fresh tomato juice, garlic, onions, jalapeno, soy sauce, mustard seed, red pepper flakes, lime juice, black pepper, salt, horseradish, Worcestershire sauce, Tobasco, celery salt and dill weed. Whoa. You know you want one ($12).
Catch brunch at The Stanley on Sundays from 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM. Love brunch? Here’s a list of the top brunch spots in Charlotte.
