A new upscale consignment shop is coming to Ballantyne Village in south Charlotte.
Nouveaux, opening August 24, will carry a highly curated collection of previously owned designer apparel and accessories. “Think Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus and above,” said co-owner Carly Edmiston of the quality of the boutique’s inventory. Shoppers can expect to find labels like Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Prada, Chanel and more.
Edmiston’s business partner Julia Austin also owns FiFi’s Fine Resale, a popular consignment boutique in Lake Norman that will work in partnership with Nouveaux.
Consigning is by appointment only and Nouveaux offers exclusive in-home sessions to assess and value the products (which should be cleaned and pressed). Clients can choose to consign items (for which they’ll receive 40% of the sales price) or sell items to Nouveaux outright. Any popular department store or mall brands not selected for sale at Nouveaux can be delivered straight to FiFi’s as an additional service.
In addition to a 2,000-square-foot brick and mortar boutique, Nouveaux will also sell products online.
The boutique opens next week and the official grand opening event will be Thursday, September 24 from 4-6pm.
