It’s the most coveted type of property in Charlotte — the affordably priced townhome. It’s also the most scarce.

But a newly redeveloped community near Plaza Midwood is about to offer 46 townhomes around the magical $250,000 price point.

Called Midwood Place, this development in the Commonwealth Park neighborhood will be made up of 2-bedroom, 2.5-bathroom homes just under 1,000 square feet.

Element Development acquired the 30-year-old townhomes in March and has begun renovating all of them. They’ll be sold in phases of 10 units, with renovations starting on the next phase after the first ones go under contract.

They’ll come with a new roof, new HVAC and new windows. The sexier upgrades include new European-style cabinetry, quartz countertops, and stainless steel appliances.

D4 Construction is the contractor performing the work.

Realtor Savvy + Co. is hosting a launch party on August 11 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on the property.
