As Charlotte attracts more and more 20- and 30-somethings, it seems the city’s wedding scene continues to grow, too. Note: Most of these are starting prices for each venue, weddings can be much more expensive than the starting sticker price depending on final selections. 

Mint Museum Uptown

Max number of guests: 225 (seated)
Cost: Sunday to Thursday $3,500; Friday to Saturday $4,500 (The Grand Room)

Why we love it: The Grand Room at Mint Museum Uptown is a blank canvas with a more modern feel. It offers the flexibility of a ballroom, but the beautiful floor-to-ceiling windows and large terrace make it feel like an upscale urban escape.


Norfolk Hall

Max number of guests: 260 (seated)
Cost: $800 ceremony; $1,000+ Monday-Thursday (reception); $1,600+ Friday and Sunday (reception); $3,500+ Saturday

Why we love it: The 7,500-square-foot renovated warehouse has tons of rustic touches throughout, including  a giant L-shaped reclaimed wood bar, corrugated metal walls and a huge sliding barn door that can separate the ceremony and reception space. The Ballantyne Hotel

Why we love it: This barn was made for the couple seeking rustic romance. Situated on hundreds of rolling acres, this secluded site makes staying in the moment an effortless experience. With the barn’s multiple levels and ample outdoor space, this venue is a great option for those looking to invite several hundred guests.

The Duke Mansion

Cost: $6,500+
