Craft Growler Shop & Tasting Room, a popular South End/Gold District beer hangout, is ready to expand with a whole new offering.

Owner Dan Davis says the as-of-yet unnamed concept will be in the same building as Craft, taking over the 3,000-square-foot former Lady M space next door at 1320 S. Church Street.

The concept is relatively straightforward: Take what everyone loves about Craft and create a complementary sister project with a focus on wine, whiskey and small plates.

Architectural drawings by Hood Architecture dated June 12, 2018, show plans for the addition of a rooftop patio.

This will not only lend some amazing views but will also enhance the outdoor offerings in South End.

South End is SEVERELY underserved when it comes to good cocktails, with only a select few places filling that market. Dan aims to take everything you love about Craft — carefully selected booze, a relaxing atmosphere, quality food and great service — and merge that into this new venture.

Look for construction to begin later this summer with completion by the end of the year.

Can’t wait for this.
