Charlotte will host the first of its kind Virtual Compliance Currency and Blockchain Technology Compliance Workshop on August 14th, which will coincide with The Second Annual Cryptolina Bitcoin Expo on August 14th-15th, 2015.


  • The one-day compliance workshop on August 14th will venture into AML and OFAC compliance, money transmitter laws, consumer protection, privacy and cyber security requirements and more.
  • The workshop is geared towards digital and virtual currency companies and their compliance teams, as well as regulators, lawmakers, and professional service providers.
  • The workshop will be led by Carol R. Van Cleef, co-chair of the Global Payments Practice at Manatt, Phelps & Phillips, LLP and Chairman and Founder of Comptegrity. Van Cleef is an expert in the field and is frequently relied on as a subject matter expert.
