Indaco, an upscale Italian restaurant, opens on Saturday night at Atherton in South End.
Indaco’s menu consists of eight antipasti options, six pastas, five pizzas, and five entrees. If you can’t decide, the chef will curate a three course, family-style meal for you ($45). Sounds bougie, and I don’t hate it.
The 3,100-square-foot restaurant has soaring ceilings and 85 seats. It’s beautiful inside.
Hours are 5-10 p.m. Monday through Thursday; 5-11 p.m. Friday and Saturday; and 5-9 p.m Sunday. Lunch hours will start on Monday, November 25.
Second location: The original Indaco is in Charleston. It’s highly rated across all the big review sites — 4.7/5 on Facebook (200+ ratings) 4.6/5 on OpenTable (1,000+ reviews), 4.5/5 on Google (150+ ratings) and a 4.5/5 on Yelp (250+ reviews).
Ownership: Indaco is owned by Indigo Road, the guys behind O-Ku, Oak Steakhouse and Sukoshi. I like their strategy of having a sushi, steak and Italian restaurant in each city they enter. “We can’t wait to bring wood-fired pizzas and handmade pastas to Atherton,” co-owner Steve Palmer told the Agenda.
OK, let’s take a look around.
