The first phase of a major historic mill renovation has just been approved.

Developers Faison and White Point Partners are planning to revamp mill buildings between North Davidson and North Brevard streets and convert them into a 3,000-square-foot restaurant and 40,000 square feet of office space.

The adaptive reuse looks beautiful, but it’s likely that some of the power lines will obscure the view.

The second phase of the project will consist of apartments  — but that is still a work in progress.

Work will begin this summer.
